Restoring a Client Backup (Desktop)

What it is: The process of bringing back a previously saved client backup file and adding it to the Client List as an active client file.

What it's for

If a client file is lost, corrupted, or needs to be rolled back to a prior state, restoring a backup recovers that saved version. You can also give the restored file a new name so that it coexists alongside the current file without overwriting it.

How to do it

  1. Navigate to the Main Client List screen.
  2. Select Actions.
  3. Select Restore Client Backup.
  4. Browse to the location where the backup was saved.
  5. Select the backup file and select Open.
  6. Optionally amend the client file name.
  7. Select Restore Backup.

The restored file appears on the Client List and can be opened immediately.
